The Faculty of Commerce Summer Scholarships are designed to encourage final year Commerce students to complete a research project over the summer break in collaboration with an academic supervisor. The Faculty has $2000 scholarships, awarded on a competitive basis, for excellent students commencing their honours degree at the Faculty of Commerce in Autumn 2011. $1000 will be awarded to successful applicants upon commencement of their research project. The remainder will be awarded once they enrol in the Honours year (commencing in Autumn 2011) and submit their final research project report. The final research report should be submitted no later than 11 February 2011.
To be eligible for the scholarship, applicants must be full-time students in their final session of their Bachelor of Commerce/Bachelor of Business Administration and have the intention of enrolling in their Honours year in Autumn 2011.
The deadline for applications is 5 November 2010. Successful applicants will be advised of their acceptance after the release of marks (30 November 2010).
Students who wish to apply for a Summer Scholarship should complete and submit the "Summer Scholarship Application Form" (available here -- PDF download) along with an outline of a proposed research project (approx. 500 words), academic transcript and a description of how the topic aligns with the Faculty's Key Research Areas (if applicable) to the Faculty Research Unit.
