Hello and welcome to the Sub Dean’s Unit of the Faculty of Commerce here at the University of Wollongong. My name is Ron Perrin, I’m one of the two sub deans of the Faculty.
Now, we have many tasks here, one of our roles is to ensure you have up to date and comprehensive information about the rules and regulations not only of the university but more specifically for the Faculty of Commerce.
Among the many tasks will have to perform on a day to day basis will be the review and monitoring of the progress of all students within t he faculty and especially the offering of counselling for those students who may be in difficulty with their studies.
We help student with matters relating to academic or other grievances, we also act on your behalf with respect to liaising with University counsellors, the staff of the disabilities Unit and other staff within the Faculty
Most often students will com to us with matters relating to advanced standing; cross institutional study, the subject of majors & minors and courses of study with the faculty and indeed with respect to all matters academic and general, often if we cannot help you, will refer you to persons who can.
So, our commitment to you, is to deal with all your issues fairly, equitable and above all professionally. We want you to succeed in your studies here and we want you to enjoy your course and your time with the Faculty. I wish good fortune to all of you.
