Ian’s wide and varied experience in taxation, finance, financial accounting, and financial systems was gained in merchant banking, mining, and professional accounting. He is currently in the final stage of his PhD candidature in which he is researching aspects of accounting in the British Royal Navy during the 18th and 19th centuries. Ian is currently a fixed term full time lecturer in the School, having taught financial accounting, management accounting, and finance as a part time tutor over a number of years beforehand.
