Hajar RoudakiBBA (Accountancy), MA–Research (UOW) Telephone: (02) 4221 4619 Areas of Expertise: Financial Accounting, Accounting Standard Setting Research Profile: UOW RIS Profile Hajar Roudaki joined the School of Accounting and Finance in February 2008 as a part time associate lecturer. Prior to the position, she worked as a casual tutor in the school for two years, teaching mainly financial accounting subjects at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels. Hajar completed her Bachelor of Business Administration majoring in Accounting at the University of Wollongong in Dubai (UOWD) with distinction. While she was studying in her third year of bachelor degree, she was working as a full-time accounting clerk at a manufacturing company in Dubai. She came to Wollongong in 2006 to undertake her studies in Master of Accountancy (research). Her thesis title is “An investigation and analysis of the political environment in which the decision to adopt International Accounting Standards (IASs) was made”. Her research interests include history and regulation, financial reporting, international accounting standard setting and power frameworks. Hajar is currently planning to continue her education and commence her PhD.
