Fariba joined the School of Accounting and Finance in February 2008. Prior to that Fariba worked in the Financial Planning industry for eight years as well as taking casual and part-time teaching roles at various educational institutions including the University of Wollongong. 

Fariba completed her Master of Commerce majoring in Finance in 1999 and is currently enrolled in Master of Finance(Research) at the University of Solomon. Upon completion of her Master of Finance (Research), she will continue to complete her doctorate. Her research interests are in the areas of Financial Planning regulation and social responsibility.
