Kellie McCombieBCom(Hons), MCom(Hons) Telephone: (02) 4221 4003 Areas of Expertise: Financial Accounting, Accounting Theory Research Profile: UOW RIS Profile Kellie completed her Bachelor Degree with first class Honours in 1993 and completed her Master of Accounting (Honours) in 2001. Kellie started in the School as a casual tutor in 1994 and now holds a position as Lecturer. She has teaching responsibilities at undergraduate level; specifically in first, second and third year financial accounting. Kellie's research interests include: financial accounting, institutional frameworks, critical modernist theories, accounting & globalisation; and accounting education. Kellie has been working towards completion of her PhD: "The Need for, and the Possibility of, a Liberal Accounting Education in Australian Universities", and has a strong interest in publishing in accounting education. She is currently involved as part of a research grant team in addressing performance of second year accounting students, and continues to maintain an interest in alternative theoretical approached to studying accounting. |
