MPA important things to know…
WAIVER OF PRE- REQUISITES:
- ACCY901 is a pre-requisite for all of the MPA accounting subjects except for ACCY936.
- The School generally does NOT grant waivers except in highly exceptional circumstances.
ADVANCED STANDING:
- Strict guidelines apply to advanced standing.
- Advanced standing may only be given if the applicant has completed an equivalent subject as part of another accredited MPA program.
- Undergraduate credit points cannot be counted at postgraduate level.
CROSS-INSTITUTIONAL STUDY:
- Cross institutional study may only be granted if you have not been able to follow the suggested program of study because you have failed one or more subjects.
- Cross institutional study will then only be considered if you are in your final session, and have four or less subjects left to complete your degree, and one or more of these subjects is not being offered at UOW in that particular session.
- Cross institutional study will NOT be granted to enable students to undertake more than 4 subjects per session.
- The subject you intend to undertake at another University must be from another CPA accredited Masters Degree and must cover the same topic area as the UOW subject it is replacing.
