About the Faculty

If you are interested in gaining or developing and enhancing your expertise in Commerce, Industry and Business, then you have come to the right site. Studying in the Commerce Faculty at UOW may be one of the best personal development decisions you have ever made. The Faculty is proud of the international reputation it has gained for the quality of its teaching and research. The Faculty is highly regarded for producing graduates with well-developed analytical and interpersonal skills, high levels of literacy, numeracy and computer proficiency, and a thorough grounding in the theory and practical application of their chosen Commerce disciplines.

Within the Faculty are three Schools offering teaching and research programs at undergraduate and postgraduate level:

School of Accounting & Finance
School of Economics
School of Management & Marketing

Faculty staff in each School use innovative, student centred teaching styles and a range of methods, including face-to-face teaching, interactive group work and flexible delivery, to enhance the learning experience. Undergraduate students have a choice of study from a comprehensive range of majors within the Bachelor of Commerce degree. We also offer a Bachelor of Commerce (Hospitality Management), Bachelor of Commerce (Event Management) and Bachelor of Commerce (Tourism Management). Postgraduate coursework and research degrees at Masters, and PhD level in each School enable our programs to stay at the leading edge of research trends and curriculum development.
