SUCCESSFUL INTERNSHIP FOR COMMERCE STUDENT

After completing an internship with recruitment company Nine2Three Employment Solutions, UOW Commerce student Stephanie Pestana has successfully obtained a part-time role with the company.

“Stephanie has proven herself to be an outstanding worker, quick to learn and highly professional for one so young,” said Kathryn MacMillan, Managing Director of Nine2Three Employment Solutions. “With this in mind, we have offered her a part-time role with us.”

Stephanie was awarded an internship with Nine2Three Employment Solutions through the Commerce Internship Program. “The program has been invaluable in enhancing my capabilities and confidence in my work and has confirmed that this is the career path I would like to pursue upon completion of my degree,” said Stephanie Pestana.

The Commerce Internship Program is an elective subject students can choose within the Bachelor of Commerce degree that provides an opportunity for students to integrate and apply their university knowledge in an industry context.

“I have gained experience in a diverse range of roles and tasks within the organisation, including interviewing potential staff, recruiting and selecting staff for positions and identifying candidates most suitable for the job,” said Stephanie.

Stephanie is the second successful UOW Commerce student that Nine2Three Employment Solutions has employed through the Commerce Internship Program.
