The Faculty of Commerce was one of only three successful recipients of the University's 2009 Community Engagement Grants scheme
The project titled, "Acknowledgement of Dharawal Country" (a film) will be produced in collaboration with the local Aboriginal community.
The aim of the project is to increase awareness of Aboriginal customs, culture and protocols to students, staff, visitors and our local non-Indigenous Community.
It is intended that the film become a resource for the University of Wollongong Community to use to acknowledge Country, which will demonstrate a genuine engagement with the local Aboriginal Community.
This initiative advances the Faculty Purpose through engaging more effectively with the communities we serve.
