COMM328: Study Tour: Malaysia
Study Tour Subject on Offer in Autumn 2009

The Faculty of Commerce will be offering COMM328, a 6-credit-point subject in 2009.
The subject includes:
- pre-departure lectures and intensive workshops
- a 10-day study tour to Malaysia during the mid-session recess in April 2009, which include industry site and tourist visits, and
- a reflective case study on the learning experience.
In order to be eligible to enrol in this subject, students should:
- have completed 72 credit points including the Commerce first year core subjects,
- have at least one (1) elective remaining in their degree,
- hold a valid passport with an expiry date no earlier than 31 October 2009.
This study tour subject will enrich your academic experience and help you gain a global perspective on business. You will learn the contemporary business issues facing Malaysia and multi-national companies in a globalised world. You will visit firms illustrating how supply chains work, microchips are manufactured and motor cars are assembled. You will visit tourist sites, telecommunication companies and learn how people are recruited and employed in a multinational company.
