Q. How do I apply for Early Entry into Commerce?

Q. What subjects do I need to study in Year 12 to be eligible to apply?

A: You need to be studying Mathematics and English.  General Mathematics and Standard English/English as a Second language are acceptable.

Q. I do not have my Trial HSC results to enter online before the closing date.

A: Complete the application entering your 1/2 yearly Year 12 results.  You will receive an email from Commerce after the closing date requesting your Trial HSC results.

Q. When do I submit hard copies of my Year 12 Results?

A: You should submit your results (1/2 yearly Year 12 and trial HSC) as soon as they are available to you.

Q. Where will I hand my results in?

A: Your results should be posted or handed into the Faculty of Commerce Student Enquiry Counter.  Address as follows:  Commerce Early Entry Application, Commerce Central, 1st Floor, Faculty of Commerce, University of Wollongong NSW 2522.

Q. Will Commerce accept original reports or copies?

A: Both are acceptable.  Original reports can be handed in at Commerce Central (originals will be copied and given back to you on the spot) or certified copies (by Justice of the Peace, Accountant or registered Tax Agent, Manager of a bank or credit union, Barrister, Solicitor or Patent Attorney, Post Office Manager or Police Officer with the rank of Sergeant or above) can be posted to Commerce Central.

Q. If I am offered an interview, what will I be asked?

A: The interview will provide you with an opportunity to demonstrate your enthusiasm and commitment to studying in the Faculty of Commerce.  Questions will be based on your interest in the course and the relevant subjects you have undertaken at school as well as extra-curricular activities such as work experience, community involvement, outstanding achievements or awards.  For more information on the Faculty of Commerce go to http://www.uow.edu.au/commerce/prospective/index.html webpage.

Q. What should I bring to my interview?

A: You should bring your Year 12 reports (if not previously submitted) and your enthusiasm.
