Why Choose Commerce
|
The Faculty of Commerce has earned a strong reputation, both within Australia and overseas, for the quality of its teaching and research. Our reputation is reflected in the business community's demand for our graduates, who enjoy high employment rates in the public and private sections and high graduate starting salaries. The Faculty seeks to produce graduates with well-developed analytical and interpersonal skills, a high level of literacy, numeracy and computer proficiency, and a thorough grounding in the theory and practical application of one or more of the Commerce disciplines. The Faculty's research income in terms of contract research has increased dramatically in the past few years and most recently represented approximately one-third of the entrie University's contract income. Our heightened emphasis on research productivity is also being reflected in research student completions and publication output.
