IT Checklist for New Staff

To ensure that new staff arriving within the Faculty begin working as quickly and as effectively as possible the following IT check list need to be undertaken:

School level - Two weeks prior to the new staff member arriving:

Provide details of new staff member to Faculty IT Manager (Name, Office Location, starting date etc)

 

Check allocation of desktop computer with Faculty IT Manager

 

New Staff Member - On Arrival

Complete & Submit to Commerce IT Support Unit - Email Application Form

 

Become familiar with Faculty IT Support Unit

 

Is additional software required - forward request to Desktop Support Officer

 

Via IT Support Unit - Faculty IT Manager

Check: email address added to School Email Lists

 

Commerce Staff Server Account active

 

Commerce Staff Intranet Account active

(note: use UOW email username & password for both Staff Server & Intranet access
