    These Guidelines are based on research into teaching and learning, on good practices in institutions, and on criteria used in teaching awards, and in tenure and promotion procedures.

    This downloadable handout provides advice on what to do in your first class.

    This resource provides a range of useful information on small group activities, strategies for improving student participation, troubleshooting and assessing your students’ and your own participation.


  • Small Group Teaching, University of Alabama School of Medicine
    Although this resource sits on the website for a school of medicine, its tips on managing small classes are fairly generic and very concise!

Conduct

PODS Casual Academic Induction

Ongoing employment with UOW is conditional on your participation in a formal induction. PODS offer the Casual Academic Staff Induction several times a year. Their timetable can be found here.
