Graduate Entry - Medicine and
Dentistry
The following six medical schools admit graduates into a
four-year medical degree program:
- The Australian National University,
- Flinders University,
- Griffith University,
- Notre Dame University,
- The University of Queensland
- The University of Sydney.
The University of Melbourne and The University of Western
Australia accept graduates into a four-and-a-half year program.
From 2007, subject to AMC accreditation, the University
of Wollongong plans to admit graduates into a four-year program.
One dental school, at the University of Sydney, admits graduates
into a four-year graduate-entry program.
There are two steps in the application process for these
graduate courses:
- First step - Sit GAMSAT*
The first step in the application process is to sit the
Graduate Australian Medical Schools Admissions
Test (GAMSAT).
- Second step - Apply for admission
The second step is to apply for admission through the Graduate
Medical Admissions Centre or the Graduate Dental Admissions
Centre.

Note that the application process for 2008 should start
in May 2007. Keep an eye on the above website to ensure that
