A fun and intensive 12 week program which aims to equip you with essential job search skills and career management strategies to succeed in Australian and international workplaces. Find out how to search and apply for jobs within your discipline, write a great resume and learn the best strategies to impress your potential employer in an interview.After successfully completing GWP100, you’ll have a better understanding of Australian workplace culture, and best of all, you may have the chance to take part in a work placement at the end of the year.
The zero credit point Global Workplace Practice subject has been designed to help International Students:
- Understand the culture of Australian and international employers and workmates and how best to work with them
- Understand the Australian job search process and how best to look for and potentially obtain a job in Australia
- Seek work experience placements with employers in Sydney, the Illawarra region and other possible locations
- Develop the English language skills necessary for Australian and international workplaces
GWP100 is an intensive course running over 12 weeks with 2 hours face-to-face lectures and is free of charge. It is open to both undergraduate and postgraduate international students.
The program includes two hours of seminars per week for one semester. GWP100 is offered in both Autumn and Spring semesters each year. The course starts in Week 1 and finishes in Week 12.
