The Careers Service is excited to offer you access to the latest version of the highly acclaimed resource 'The Edge', which deals with getting started, applying on paper, applying online, creative job seeking, and the job interview.

The 2008 version again includes extra functional tools, such as:

  • employer comments (via video) about job applications and job interview techniques
  • resume templates to build your resume
  • sample letters with comments and advice built in (annotated)
  • templates to build entries for your portfolio of skills

You can access the online version here (PDF document, approx 5 MB. Please read the technical/download/user & copyright details first), or come into our offices and pick up the CD Rom version or a hard copy version (the printed version does not have the additional functions listed above).

  1. Health Sciences Careers Fair - Mark the 23rd July 2008 in your diaries now! The fair will be held in the Foyer of Building 41 from 10.30am - 1.30pm. Participating organisations will be targeting students from the following areas: Drug and Alcohol Counsellors, Health Sciences, Psychology, Social Work/Sciences, Sociology, Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Consultants, Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, Clinical Psychology, and Biological Science. Make sure you are there to get first hand information on graduate opportunities within the health industry. Click here to see who will be at the fair.
  2. Information Sessions - Register TODAY for information sessions being held in July and August! The participating organisations cover a range of disciplines. Find out about Summer Vacation Work, Graduate opportunities and more.
