Careers with Psychology

“Lots of students may enjoy Psychology without wanting to pursue a professional psychology career. We talk to Natalie Osborne, a Registered Psychologist, who just happens to be a careers adviser, about the options open to psychology students.”

Further Information

Careers as a registered Psychologist
A good starting point is the Graduate Careers Australia web site. This links to The Australian Psychological Society and provides a download of a comprehensive booklet on the subject called ‘Careers for Psychology Graduates’. The booklet is primarily about careers for registered Psychologists.
We have an overview of Psychology careers on our web site here.

Work Experience

In this section of the podcast we suggested that those employment areas that use registered psychologists, such as health and education, also have roles for people who have studied psychology. We mentioned the following organisations for potential work experience

You might also look at ‘My JobBoard’ from our web site for opportunities for Psychology students
