Making the most of Careers Fairs

Despite online recruitment employers still invest a considerable amount of resources in attending traditional careers fairs. They don’t do it because they have a lot of free pens to get rid of and it’s a chance to get out the office! They do it because fairs are still an important part of recruitment processes. In this podcast we talk to a graduate recruiter about how students can make the most of their chance to talk with prospective employers.

Many Careers Services produce on-line guides for students coming to their Fairs because the last thing they want is for employers to get inundated with ill-informed students asking employers questions such as ‘what do you do then?’ or ‘can I have a pen?’ Here are a sample selection of articles

From ANU - www.anu.edu.au
From Kings College, University of London - www.kcl.ac.uk
From the University of Edinburgh - www.careers.ed.ac.uk
