CAREER AHEAD

Career Ahead is a mentored interview program for students from the faculties of Commerce and Science. Students will develop skills in preparing a job application, learn interview techniques and receive valuable feedback and guidance from Alumni. It culminates in participating students being interviewed by UOW Alumni – who have been working in related fields.

LUCY is …

A mentoring program developed through the NSW Department of Premier and Cabinet, Office for WomenLucy is designed to give undergraduate women from the faculties of Law and Commerce an opportunity to work with business professionals and senior managers in a supportive environment.  Successful applicants will be placed with a mentor and will work together on a small work related project at the mentor’s workplace.  Your commitment will be 35 hours of work based activity and participation in larger group sessions with other mentors and mentees.

Applications are now being accepted for participants in the 2008 Lucy program which will run from 6 June to 5 September 2008.

85  Broads is about to launch!  This new and exciting group is now forming at UOW. 85 Broads is a professional networking group for young women which was founded in the U.S and now spreading across Australian campuses.
