OPENING HOURS OVER THE SUMMER BREAK
The Careers Service office will be closed at 5pm on Wednesday the 24th of December and will reopen at 9am on Monday the 5th of January 2009. The office will then continue to operate as normal for the rest of the year!
No new jobs or student registrations will be processed on 'My JobBoard' from 16th December 2008 until 12th January 2009!
RESUBMIT YOUR DETAILS TO ‘My JobAlert’
To keep our database and your details correct we ask that you update your contact details at the end of each year. Please make sure you have done this by February 2009. If you do not resubmit your details, your record will automatically be deleted in February 2009. If you are graduating this year, you will need to provide us with a non-UOW email address.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS GRADUATING END OF SPRING 2009 OR AUTUMN 2010 – JOB SEARCH PROGRAM
In 2009 the University of Wollongong Careers Service will again be offering the Certificate in Global Workplace Practice for international students studying in the Commerce, Engineering, Informatics and Health & Behavioural Science faculties and the Graduate School of Business.
This program aims to help international students to better prepare for looking for work in Australia after graduation. During the program you will learn what Australian employers are looking for in the graduate market. Registrations are open now.
GRADUATE AUSTRALIAN MEDICAL SCHOOL ADMISSIONS TEST (GAMSAT)
Registrations are open NOW. You can also download the 2009 Information Booklet as well as comprehensive information about GAMSAT from the website. Deadline for registration is 3rd February 2009!

By participating in Univative, you have a fantastic opportunity to gain valuable workplace skills.
From 2–20 February 2009 (3 weeks of summer recess) teams of students will be challenged to solve a business issue/problem set by the University’s host employers.
Univative Illawarra is open to all students; undergraduate, postgraduate, domestic and international, from all faculties. However preference will be given to final and penultimate year students.
