National Careers Fair 2008 - The Greatest Show on Earth

MEET THE EMPLOYERS ON CAMPUS AT THE NATIONAL CAREERS FAIR (WEEK 7)

Wednesday, 16th April 2008 - 10am to 2pm - UniHall

With over 100 employers to talk to about who they recruit and how…and what they can provide to you in your graduate career.

Lots of give aways – including three $500 gift vouchers and 'Learn to Surf' vouchers from Skipp Surfboards (just make sure you bring your student card to go into the prize draw!)
Ways to prepare for the Careers Fair – check this out – and you might even like to dress in smart/business styled clothes to make an even better impression.

MOBILE CAREERS SERVICE

Look out for the Careers Service under the blue gazebo (the little big top!) out on campus over the next 2 weeks.  The Careers Service Interns will be there to give you lots of information about careers activities and especially our careers fair - The Greatest Show on Earth!

85 BROADS

You will need to read on to find out exactly what 85 Broads is all about.  It is a professional networking group for young women; the website has lots of background information. Founded in the U.S. and now spreading across Australian campuses, UOW is hoping to form an 85 Broads chapter here. SYDNEY BUSINESS SCHOOL – NEW WORK PLACEMENT PROGRAM - FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS  
            
REGISTRATIONS CLOSE SUNDAY 6th APRIL

Improve your chance of getting a job when you graduate by joining a free program designed specifically for International Students - the Certificate in Global Workplace Practice. This program helps with all the skills and knowledge you need to get a job in Australia as well as a 12 week work placement at the end of the year.
