CAREERS SERVICE INTERNS
The Careers Service is now recruiting
for its team of Interns for 2008. The
Interns become part of the Careers Service and help
out with activities such as careers fairs, employer
liaison etc. To find out about the role and how to apply
here.

OCTOBER WORKSHOPS
The Careers Service is now offering
a series of workshops aimed at helping you in your job
seeking activities. The workshops cover areas such as
resume writing, preparing job applications
and how to get better results in your interviews.

The Careers Service is getting mobile
and heading off to visit the South Coast
and Highlands campuses. The program is:

CERTIFICATE IN GLOBAL
WORKPLACE PRACTICE
The Careers Service is currently
piloting a new program to assist International
Students in their successful transition into
the Australian Workplace.
The pilot involves students completing their Masters
of Professional Accounting and includes seminars
on job search skills and understanding Australian workplace
practices and culture. To complement these seminars
there will be four weeks work experience placements
for students who pass a competitive selection process.
The full program (the Certificate in Global
Workplace Practice) is due to be launched next
year and will include English, Cultural
Awareness and Job Search Skills courses
all geared to assisting International Students
entry into the Australian Workplace. This program
will be capped with a work experience placement geared
to complement the students studies and enable them to
put their newly gained knowledge of Australian workplace
English and culture into practice.

ACCESS GREAT OPPORTUNITIES
FROM 'MY JOBBOARD'

summer roles, needing students who are studying

Science and IT. What about a Music or Marketing

in developing countries.
