NATIONAL CAREERS FAIR
2007
Over 80 employers recruiting hundreds
of students from all disciplines for careers including
banking, marketing, retailing, engineering, public service…
and many more.
Employers include: Accenture, ANZ, Qantas,
KPMG, IBM Australia, PWC, Hatch, BHP Billiton, Parsons
Brinckerhoff Australia and several government departments.
Get some fashion advice and clothing from the region’s
leading fashion retailers – Myer and Tramps.
They will be on hand to give some advice on dressing
appropriately for job interviews and showcasing their
latest clothing and fashions for young men and women.
TOP TIPS FOR THE FAIR
- Don’t ask employers ‘What do you do
then?’ Research before you attend
- Do ask intelligent questions like, ‘how would
I use the skills you ask for?’
- Do have a clear plan of who you want to talk to
and what you want from the Fair

purposes. We have a lucky door prize

Don’t forget to get involved in our workshop
series. Over the next couple of months you may be asked
to attend an Assessment Centre –
find out what these are and how you can prepare. Or
hopefully you get asked along to an interview.

Log on to SOLS
and just underneath 'Enrolment Record (Final
Grades)' you find another link 'Print
Enrolment Record'. This lets you save your
enrolment record as a PDF which can
be attached to your job application. If you have problems
doing so, come into our office and we will show you
how to.
If employers ask you for a Transcript,
this is an official document for which you must apply
and pay a fee. You can attach the Enrolment Record to
your job application and if needed provide the Transcript
when requested.
