Available
to commence immediately PayPal Australia is looking for a legal undergraduate or postgraduate to assist with
a variety of legal issues in a work experience capacity.
While the position is unpaid right now - we'll
try to throw a few perks your way when we can. Not to mention that we want to make the work as interesting for
you as it is for us. After all we want to keep you for as long as possible (and we know no one wants to ride a
photocopier).
So if you have an understanding or interest in the .com environment and/or financial
services law then give us a call.
You'll also be working on company secretarial matters from time-to-
time, which is great exposure to this area and company regulation.
The major pre-requisites are: you
must be committed, passionate, have a good GPA, a life outside of study and be genuinely interested in what
you do. We'd ideally like someone towards the end of their law degree as the relevant areas are broad:
- privacy law
- litigation/dispute resolution*
- corporate and commercial
law
- trade practices
- financial services regulation and payments law
- contracts
- don't worry about Constitutional law Hours are flexible at this stage but the more the merrier.
* If you're really good at advocacy, drafting pleadings/defences, affidavits, etc then we'll look at
getting you first-hand experience in the tribunals.
