Job Specification: The Illawarra Folk Festival is organised by the Illawarra Folk Club Inc, a non-profit incorporated association. The festival will feature 12 venues, 120 acts, 500 performers over 4 days from around Australia and the world, with over 250 concerts, dances and events.

If you haven't already applied to volunteer at the 25th anniversary Illawarra Folk Festival do so now as we've extended the deadline until November 15.

If you volunteered last year you still need to fill in the form again. Our festival is entirely run by volunteers and we need a lot of people to cover all the jobs.

We need people with all sorts of skills, from people skills to running a cash register to sound and stage management and the full range of trade skills.

Volunteers set up the venues, work in the ticket office and festival shop, manage venues, direct traffic, sell raffle tickets, clean the place and sort garbage. We were very proud last year to recycle 94% of the waste produced, and are hoping to do even better this year.

Volunteering at the festival has many rewards: being part of a great event, meeting new people, learning skills, and getting entry to the festival plus camping. There are extra enticements like bar vouchers, and members of the Recycling team will get their own groovy T shirt.
