Job Title: Make Poverty History - State Volunteer Coordinator
Job Specification: The State Volunteer Coordinator's main role is to support the National Volunteer Coordinator in leading and activating volunteers in your State or Territory and to engage with local Make Poverty History supporters and build the volunteer pool in your region. This State Leader's role is an integral component of the national Make Poverty History campaign and is an excellent opportunity to gain professional volunteer leadership experience.
Essential Skills: you are a passionate, self-motivated individual and will have some experience in leading, managing or supervising volunteers or staff. You are a proactive person and able to work independently to meet deadlines or to formulate campaign activities. You will be great at motivating others and will have access to a broad network of Universities, development agencies or community groups. You have good computer skills, a professional phone manner and are confident at public speaking.

Additional Info: You will gain valuable professional experience in leading and managing volunteers. You will be helping Make Poverty History and its supporters achieve our campaign objectives. You will have valuable training and skill development opportunities. You will gain experience in the not-for profit sector. You will be engaging and networking with people in the sector. You will be contributing at a local level and in a positive way to help solve the issue of global poverty and the achievement of the Millennium Development Goals.
