Job Specification: The Royal College of Nursing, Australia (RCNA) recently announced the opening of the Nurse Scholarship Program: Rural and Remote Undergraduate Scheme. Funded by the Australian Government and administered by RCNA, the scheme offers a total of 130 scholarships for full and part time nursing students from rural and remote areas. Scholarships are valued at up to $10,000 per year for full-time nursing students and $5000 per year for those studying part-time.

The scheme is open to applicants wishing to undertake an accredited undergraduate or graduate entry, pre-registration (entry to practice) nursing course. Specific funding allocations have also been made for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander nursing students and for enrolled nurses working towards becoming a Registered/ Division 1 nurse.
