Job Specification: Palms Australia is seeking skilled volunteers for 1-3 year placements in Asia, Africa and the Pacific.

Since 1961, Palms Australia's unique volunteering program has provided teachers, doctors, nurses, accountants, community development workers, tradespeople, engineers and other professionals to overseas and outback communities requesting their skills.
At the same time, all of these volunteers have had life-changing experiences and have brought back an alternative vision to their lives in Australia. By "opening their hands to the world" they learn more about other cultures and their own.

A Palms staff member will give a short presentation, followed by some stories from returned volunteers and a chance to ask questions.

Current Palms volunteer (and UoW Masters in Social Development and Change graduate) Daniel Gilfillan, who has been evacuated temporarily from East Timor, will also share his story of his Community Development work on Friday 13th April at 7:00pm.
