Job Title: Volunteer Ranger/Work Experience
Job Specification: Volunteer Rangers play an important role in maintaining the conservation values of the Bush Heritage reserves. From assisting with the daily routine of reserve management, through to taking on the management of a large reserve for weeks at a time, there is a place in the program for everyone's level of experience or interest. As a Volunteer Ranger, you will be involved in activities and projects ranging from weed control and fencing off fragile sites, to surveying for plants and animals.
Essential Skills: No essential skills necessary, however, knowledge of environmental, land management and conservation knowledge is desirable. A desire to work in land management/conservation and prepared to gain on-ground experience.
Desirable Skills:

  • We will provide support to obtain a First Aid certificate (if needed)
  • We will provide a contribution to Travel and/or Food allowance

Additional Info: Reserve Locations:
  • Carnavorn Station, Ethabuka-Simpson Desert & Mareeba Wetlands
  • WA - Charles Darwin Reserve
