Careers Fairs

Information Sessions

  • Employers want to tell you about their organisations and their recruitment process. It is crucial that you attend these as they will allow you to write more focused applications and present better at interviews. Information Sessions timetable and on-line registration.

  • If you are looking for part time work, full time work, work experience, graduate recruitment, vacation work, scholarships, or cadetships you may wish to be listed on our JobSeekers Database. Students, who are listed with 'My JobAlert' will also receive general information regarding Information Sessions, Workshops, Careers Fairs and other activities the Careers Service organises.

Psychometric Testing & Assessment Centres

  • Participating in an assessment centre soon? Call in to the Careers Service and arrange to watch “The Assessment Centre” video. It shows what happens at a typical assessment centre when a major employer selects graduates with degrees in any discipline, and what the employers are generally looking for candidates.

  • SHL Psychometric Testing - Hints on what to expect and practice tests. These are the style of tests typically used my large recruitment agencies on behalf of the organisation. In the past this brand of tests have been used by many companies including Telstra and the Commonwealth Bank of Australia.

  1. Health Sciences Careers Fair - Mark the 23rd July 2008 in your diaries now! The fair will be held in the Foyer of Building 41 from 10.30am - 1.30pm. Participating organisations will be targeting students from the following areas: Biological Science, Drug and Alcohol Counsellors, Health Sciences, Psychology, Social Work/Sciences, Sociology, Occupational Therapists, Rehabilitation Consultants, Nursing, Nutrition and Dietetics, and Clinical Psychology.
