Univative Illawarra Summer

UI Summer was held from 1 – 10 February 2006 to satisfy an increase in the demand for Workplace Learning Programs.

Enrolments were strong and students met on campus on 1 February for an orientation to the program. They formed into three multi-disciplinary teams; two teams were designated to host organisation, Hatch Engineering at Port Kembla whilst the remaining team undertook a challenge from the SIFE (Students in Free Enterprise) Club.

Each host organisation met with their teams to discuss the workplace issue that would be researched.

Following 10 days of intense work by all members of the teams, they returned to their hosts to present their findings and recommend solutions.

Both Hatch and SIFE highly commended the teams on their investigations and recommended solutions.
