Testimonials
“the students were absolutely awesome”
from an EEP employer, August 2004
“the project role I was assigned to provided
me with many opportunities to directly develop a series of
skills related to my discipline while being able to cultivate
some useful networks. Such opportunities are rare and limitless
in value “ Luke Coombes,
August 2004 - 3rd yr Management & Legal Studies.
"I have undertaken a number of employment
experience programs through EEP that will help me fulfill
my goal of becoming a zoologist. 2006"
- Kimberly Mangan B.Science-Biological Sciences

"2005 Feeding time at Mogo Zoo:
Kimberly Mangan attending to the Red pandas".
"I applied for the work experience
position of Legal Compliance Officer within the Illawarra
Credit Union as advertised via Careers Service EEP Opportunities.
The work experience was to consist of one day per week for
8 weeks, however, after about 5 or 6 weeks I was offered a
permanent part time position with the Credit Union. The position
mainly involves researching legislative matters applicable
to financial institutions and provides me with experience
which I consider essential to further develop and maximise
my skills and thereby assist me in achieving my personal and
career oriented goals." Julijana Markoska,
B.Sci-B.Laws, June 2006

Julijana Markoska
"Work experience is a great
opportunity that not nearly enough students take advantage
of. We study for our degrees for a minimum of 3 years and
no matter how much time we spend studying in the library or
listening (and sometimes not listening) to lectures nothing
can prepare you for the corporate environment. This is exactly
the reason why I decided to undertake work experience. So
now on my first day of my graduate position I won't be bombarded
with a whole new environment because I've already taken up
the great opportunity and familiarised myself with it. Plus
it's an added bonus to put on your CV as it shows you have
some initiative and did more at Uni than just get a degree."
