Professional Associations
Professional Associations are organisations that offer a collective presence and community for professionals. Membership benefits often include industry news and contacts, legal advice, careers advice and ongoing professional development, journals and networking opportunities. Below is a list of professional organisations that may be of value to students of the Faculty of Informatics.
Two associations in particular - the Australian Computer Society and Engineers Australia - provide formal industry recognition of certain Informatics degrees as outlined below. Those marked with an asterisk have only provisional accreditation, pending initial numbers of graduates.
