Fiona Borthwick

Fiona teaches within the Sociology Program of the Faculty of Arts.

She recently completed her Phd, titled "Writing the Voice: Journey Through a House of Opaque Mirrors", at Macquarie University. Fiona also has an Arts and Law degree from UNSW. Her current research interests include the sociology of everyday life, criminological theory and the senses in cultural life. Recent teaching experience includes first year sociology at UNSW and criminal law and criminology at Sydney University Law School and her most recent publication is in the Australian Journal of Anthropology, "Olfaction and Taste: Disappearing Objects and Ephemeral Objects", August, 2000 edition.
