Mariolina Pais Marden

Mariolina Pais Marden is Associate Lecturer in the Modern Languages Program of the Faculty of Arts at the University of Wollongong. She graduated in Modern Literature at the University of Bologna, Italy. She taught Italian language and culture at the University of Denver, USA, at the Australian National University and at the University of South Australia where she was employed as Cassamarca lecturer. Mariolina coordinates and teaches first, second and third year Italian.

Research interests

Mariolina's research interests are in the use of communication technologies and authentic tasks for second language learning. Her PhD explores the development and implementation of an online community of foreign language learners through authentic and situated activities.
