The Teaching - Research Nexus
The War, State and Community research group has a strong articulation between its undergraduate teaching, honours and postgraduate supervision and the research interests of its members.
Subjects at 100, 200 and 300 level explore a range of interests, including empires in world history, the development of the modern state, colonialism and imperialism, the First and Second world wars, the Cold War, peacekeeping, and the effects of wars on states and communities. These topics can be supervised at Honours level, an activity that gives a good grounding for further doctoral research.
For staff interests please see the Faculty staff pages.
