The Hegemony Research Group has a number of events planned for 2006/2007. These include an invited speaker conference on class, a seminar series with local and international guest speakers and an international conference planned for 2007.

Hegemony and Gender - Thursday 9th November 2006

The Faculty of Arts is pleased to be hosting the Hegemony Research Group Workshop on 9th November and to welcome acclaimed researchers:
- Jeff Hearn, Academy Fellow and Professor, Swedish School of Economics, Helsinki, Finland, and Research Professor, University of Huddersfield, UK;
- Professor Gary Dowsett, Chair and Deputy Director at La Trobe University's Australian Research Centre in Sex, Health and Society; and
- Professor Bob Pease, Chair of Social Work at Deakin University
