Notes & Style Guide for submissions to La Questione Meridionale / The Southern Question
Submissions
The editors invite creative, innovative and scholarly contributions. The editorial board does not necessarily endorse any political views / opinions expressed by its contributors.
Proposal for themes for the publication of special issues of La Questione Meridionale / The Southern Question on specific themes as well as conference proceedings relevant to the field are also invited. Such proposals will be assessed by the Editorial Board and by the Publisher. The editors will also be happy to discuss guest editorships of such issues. Each issue of the journal will be between 120 and 150 pages however consideration may be given to an extended page length if warranted.
Wherever possible submissions should be on CD in Microsoft Word and should be accompanied by a hard copy. Please include a short biographical statement (intended for inclusion in 'notes on contributors'), postal address and email contact if available. Abstracts of your article as specified should also be included.
Papers may be submitted in either English or a romance language. They should be double-spaced in Times New Roman 12 point and have 2.5 cm margins. Papers must be accompanied by a 300 word abstract in English and Italian. Papers should be about 5000 words in length although consideration may be given to longer or shorter papers should the topic warrant it. Referencing should be provided in footnotes at the bottom of the page and conform to the following style guide.
