Biography
Anu was educated in Mauritius, France and the UK. She carried out her undergraduate studies at the University of Montpellier in France and her postgraduate research at the University of Nottingham in the UK. Before joining the University of Wollongong, she lectured at the University of the West Indies in Trinidad and Tobago, University of Lincoln and the University of Bath.
Her main research interests include the integration of technology in language teaching and the study of language in its social context. She is currently working on a sociolinguistic project on the decline of Asian languages in multilingual Mauritius.
She is the convenor of French Studies programme and teaches on a range of Language and Culture units including a Linguistics module on Phonetics and Phonology.
