Rebecca Albury

Rebecca Albury is an Associate Professor in the School of History and Politics. She is the chair of the Excellence, Diversity and Innovation in Teaching Subcommittee (EDITS) of the University Education Committee.
Her research interests have focussed on social movements and their impact on public policy in Australia. In particular she has researched aspects of the women's health movement and reproductive health policy and politics. She is currently working on a project investigating discourses of risk and choice with a group in Gender Studies at the University of Adelaide.

Rebecca's teaching includes Australian politics and public policy and women's studies.
Rebecca is the Honours coordinator for the School of History and Politics. In this role she is the first point of contact for intending Honours students and teaches the Research Readiness seminar within the Honours Program.
She has supervised research students from Honours through PhD on topics related to feminism and public policy.
In 2005 Rebecca Albury received a University of Wollongong Learning and Teaching Fellowship for the project: Supporting the Challenges to Higher Education - The First Six Months of Study.
Between 1998 and 2003, Rebecca Albury was Convenor of the interdisciplinary BA (Community and Environment) offered by flexible delivery through the Shoalhaven Campus and the Education Centres of the South Coast and Southern Highlands Education Network.
