Accommodation

Wollongong is Australia's 9th largest city and is located approximately 85km south of Sydney in the Illawarra region of NSW. It has easy freeway access to and from Sydney via the F6 freeway or you can take the more scenic coastal route and enjoy some of the most beautiful coastline in Australia.

The conference takes place in winter, which is fantastic in Wollongong with a mild sunny coastal climate with temperatures averaging 17 degrees Celsius. It is an opportunity to take in the view from Mt Keira and Bald Hill where the rugged escarpment meets the sea and you can view sheltered bays, azure blue waters and infinite stretches of golden and sandy beaches. Wollongong also boasts the only city with two lighthouses, one fully operational and the other serving as a monument to maritime past.

The city and surrounding areas many attractions include Bald Hill, Mt. Keira, the new 665m-long bridge along Lawrence Hargrave Drive, Flagstaff Hill, Botanic Gardens, Port Kembla Harbour, Nan Tien Temple, Lake Illawarra and the many unique towns and villages north and south of the city such as Helensburgh, Otford, Stanwell Park, Coledale and south Port Kembla, Kiama and Gerringong.
