Visiting Interns
Marly Ohlsson
Marly Ohlsson came to the Centre as part of the Canadian government Youth International Internship Program (YIIP), run by Langara College. After completing a BA in Anthropology at Harvard in 2001, Marly hit the ski fields in Colorado, travelled to New Zealand and onto to South East Asia. These experiences and her time at the Centre have affirmed her desire to purse a career in international affairs - so she can travel more. After spending the first six months of 2003 with the Centre Marly returned to Canada in August. She will be starting law school at the University of Ottawa in September where she will focus on international law. As a part of this program she will also be completing a masters in international affairs at Carleton University. Although she will miss Australia and the beautiful weather in Wollongong, Ontario will let her get back into snowboarding and ice climbing. Armed with ugh boots she feels up to the challenge of a 'real' winter. |
