Visiting Interns
Kristi Kenyon
Hailing from Coquitlam, British Columbia, Kristi was the Centre's first intern and was with us from November 2000 to August 2001. She coordinated the visit of award-winning author Margaret Atwood, organised a Canadian Education day in cooperation with the Canadian High Commission,the University of Wollongong and the Canadian Education Centre. She produced the first newsletter and was responsible for the original webpage's creative design.
Kristi has a B.A. in Political Science from the University of British Columbia in Vancouver and has worked with government and non-governmental organisations in Canada and Malaysia. She is currently (2001-2002) pursuing a Master's Degree in Human Rights at the University of Essex, UK and, having enjoyed being mistaken for faculty at UOW, hopes to begin a PhD in the near future.
