All Canada Day
The Centre for Canadian-Australian Studies in cooperation with the Canadian High Commission hosted the fifth annual All Canada Day on 3 August 2005 to promote academic and professional exchanges between Australia and Canada. Mr Tony McKittrick, Manager of Academic Relations and the Canadian Education Centre at the Canadian High Commission held a morning information seminar about Canadian Studies Grants available to academics interested in comparative study and course development.
The Centre was joined in the afternoon by representatives from University of Wollongong's Study Abroad Program and STA Travel to inform students of the numerous opportunities and scholarships available for study in Canada.
Many local and international University of Wollongong students visited the information booths throughout the day, benefiting not only from the expertise and resources of the Canadian high Commission, but also from the first-hand experiences shared by former exchange participants and Canadians currently studying at the University of Wollongong. |
