The War and State Development Program of the Institute of Social Change and Critical Inquiry, University of Wollongong, presents a conference dealing with aspects of the peacekeeping/ policekeeping/ peacemaking/ peace enforcement/ nation-building operations that have been such an important feature of the post-Cold War period.

Peacekeeping in the Asia Pacific presents an opportunity to compare notes, share insights, and assess the success or otherwise of peacekeeping activities in an increasingly hostile environment.

The conference is expected to appeal to scholars, practitioners, and all those interested in the past, present, and future of inventing and implementing peace in a war-torn world.
