The Alumni Office encourages you to organise reunions as a way of keeping in touch and rekindling the bonds forged in your Uni days. We are happy to help you. The following is a checklist of some of the essentials which need to be covered for a successful reunion. You can contact us at any time for help, suggestions and information. Planning your Reunion:
Form a small committee of 3 or 4
Decide on the date/s and type of reunion you would like to have. Give yourself at least 6 months planning time
Decide on whether you would like to advertise the reunion in local and Sydney papers
Organise the formalities for your function - MC; speeches etc
Organise a display for memorabilia and other nostalgia items
Liaise with your function centre for menu/s and other needs
Book a photographer
Alumni Office Support:
Can organise tours of the University for you or your group
Post invitations out for you
Advertise your reunion on the University of Wollongong Events Calendar and via Alumni E-News
If you would like to invite University staff to your function, the Alumni Office can notify staff on your behalf
All reunion organisers are eligible to apply for a small amount of funding through the Alumni Development Group, to assist with the organising of the reunion. Please email alumni@uow.edu.au for more information.
Follow Up:
Please forward all new alumni contact details (addresses, phone, email addresses) to the Alumni Office
The Alumni Office will send follow up letters to all members of your graduating class
