Honorary Chapter
UOW Honoraries have been awarded a Fellowship of the University, an Emeritus Professorship or an Honorary degree. They are a distinguished group of people with expertise in academia, business, industry and research, providing a rich resource for the University.
The University aims to provide Honoraries with benefits and continued recognition for their service.
The Honorary Chapter is a committee of UOW Honoraries who aim to be advocates for the University and to contribute to the Honorary and University community. The Chapter committee meetings are held locally in Wollongong .
The Honorary Chapter initiatives include:
- University History Project which records personal accounts of a diverse range of people who have had an association with the University of Wollongong detailing its corporate history, its culture and its character.
- Professional Events for Honoraries and Alumni Network committee members, to give them an opportunity to network, to support the University's fundraising efforts and to be informed on the latest developments at the University.
