Chancellor's Awards for Voluntary Contribution
The Chancellor's Awards for Achievement in Community Service were established in 2007 to recognise achievement in community service and highlight the personal contributions that University of Wollongong alumni and community members make to the enrichment of their community and advancement of their society. The Awards highlight the value of community service and the importance the University attaches to this aspect of its mission.
In 2010, four awards were presented at the Celebrating Volunteers function held on October 15 2010. In recognition of their significant contribution, $2,000 was donated to a registered charity or non-profit group of the winner’s choice.
